Questions & Answers

2-Day Petra, WR & Dead Sea (Bubble Tent) — FAQ

Deluxe Tent — traditional Bedouin-style tent with solid walls, private bathroom, and AC. The classic choice — quiet, comfortable, authentic. Bubble Tent — transparent dome tent with private bath and AC. You can see the night sky directly from your bed. Spectacular but more expensive. Best for one of those trip-of-a-lifetime experiences.

To keep the base price flexible — most travelers buy a Jordan Pass ($99–$117) which already covers Petra entry plus 40 other sites and waives the visa fee. If you don't have a Jordan Pass, Petra entry costs $70 per person, paid at the gate.

If you want a comfortable beach with showers, sun loungers, towels, and lunch — yes, worth it. The included free beach is fine for a quick float but has limited facilities. You can decide on-site and pay your driver directly.

About 4 hours on Day 1. Enough for the Siq walk, the Treasury, and the Royal Tombs — but not enough for the Monastery climb (which requires 2–3 extra hours). If you want a full Petra day, see our 3-day private tour instead.

Yes — Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) pickup is included free in every package. Just provide your flight details when booking. Airport drop-off is also available at the end of Day 2 — confirm in advance.

No — drones are strictly banned in Wadi Rum and at Petra. They are confiscated at entry. If you have a drone with you, leave it at your hotel in Amman.

Yes — on clear nights, the Milky Way is fully visible through the transparent dome. Wadi Rum has some of the darkest skies in the Middle East due to its remote desert location and lack of light pollution. The best months for Milky Way visibility are April through September.

Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) — mild days, cool desert nights. Summer is very hot and the Dead Sea sun is intense. Winter is quiet but desert nights can drop below 5°C.

“Our driver Aladin was excellent. We had so much fun and I recommend to take this trip. Petra was stunning and the Wadi Rum jeep tour was the highlight of Day 1. Floating in the Dead Sea felt unreal — the resort had everything we needed for a relaxing afternoon.”

“Absolutely amazing. The Bubble Tent was a once-in-a-lifetime experience — falling asleep with the Milky Way directly above you is something I'll never forget. Only downside: no WiFi at the camp, but honestly, that's a feature, not a bug. 100% recommend.”

“Perfect 2-day trip if you have limited time. The driver was punctual and knowledgeable, the Bedouin dinner was incredible, and the Dead Sea was the perfect way to end the trip. Worth every dollar — we booked the Deluxe Tent option and it was very comfortable.”
